Summer is in the air (finally) here in New York. As I’m slowly taking the jump in my closet from my all-black-everything to my summer whites and brights, there’s two things that will always remain a constant: moto jackects and black booties. No matter what the weather is, I make sure I can still keep these two styles a constant in my wardrobe year around!

If you’re like me and you can’t live a season without your moto jacket, Lovers and Friends killed it with this design. The multi colored jacket has sleeves that actually zip off. Uh… caan we talk about perfect? You can go day to night (vest to jacket) in this bad boy. Pairing it with a darling babydoll dress is the perfect way to have a light flirty summer look with a touch of edge. Also, I’d like to note- much like Shakira, these hips don’t lie. And neither do I when I say you’d never see me in a drop waist dress until this one came along. The fit is perfection and can we talk about the pockets? I think all girls are with me when I say a dress with pockets does something funny to my heart.
While I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect white summer shoe, there’s no doubt that I’m always looking for a new black boot (or 10) to add to the collection. I strongly believe one can never own too many little black booties. While I’m loving my new Plomo leather wedges with a under the knee hight I had yet to have in my collection- I’ve also been eyeing two other styles I found on Bonfaire.com
The first pair is by one of my favorite designers, Modern Vice. (duh) I can’t wait to pair these with 90’s floral mini dresses and jean jackets all summer long.
