Since becoming vegan over two years ago, I’m starting to not only focus on what’s going inside my body, but whats going on the outside of my body as well. I’m taking the same mindset I have with my eating and drinking habits and adapting them to my skin and beauty care routine. Since this month I have been packing up my entire apartment and office (which is filled with more beauty products than I could probably use in my entire life) I decided with my move, I need to clear out the products that will not benefit me in the long run. I am going to try to only use products with ingredients that will both work and take care of me at the same time. When I first opened my Crystal Balm I didn’t even want to use it because it was so pretty. You know when a product is just so aesthetically pleasing you want to just keep it on a shelf and take photos of it? Well, that’s this product. Now because of all of it’s amazing ingredients and all the great things I’ve heard about it, I had to try it out.. duh. Once I glided it on, my lips immediately came back to life and I was hooked.
The Crystal Balm contains five nourishing oils to soften lips, is wax-free, keeps your lips so hydrated with shea, coconut, avocado and other natural oils, it’s Paraben, petrolatum and gluten-free, and is Vegan and not tested on animals! Now if that isn’t something good for you, than I don’t know what is!
I’ve been using mine a lot in the morning when running errands, picking up my coffee, or for when I simply don’t feel like wearing lipstick and want a more natural-dewy look. When I do want to rock my signature red lips, I’ve been using this balm as my base/primer, which works perfectly since it’s so lightweight and moisturizing. Needless to say, I’m never without this product! Bonus: it comes in TWO flavors: Hibiscus Peach & Vanilla Orchid. (and TBH.. I recommend both)
