I love outfits, that to me, will never go out of style. A type of uniform I can run around the city during the day in, and bar hop all night in, and feel 100% me in. I know I own a vintage shop, but I only have 7-10 pair of vintage denim jeans that I love to death. One pair being these 90’s CK medium wash jeans. I’m not sure what it is about vintage blue denim that makes (most) of us girls go crazy, but I could just live in them. It’s obvious that they are not always the most flattering, It’s a fact that if you switched out the jeans I’m wearing in this post with a pair of high rise black skinny jeans, I’d look 2 inches taller and 10 lbs lighter, but who cares? Not me. I think that’s what makes girls who wear “mom jeans” so fucking cool. They like something, and they wear it for themselves, no one else.
I remember while I was in High School, flipping through what was then my street style inspo (trashy celebrity mags) and seeing girls like Erin Wasson and Alexa Chung going on coffee runs wearing them. They just looked so effortlessly cool. You know when you really love a trend but feel like there’s no way you could pull it off? That’s how I felt until I completely let go of that feeling for good. If you like something enough, why would you not be able to pull it off? As long as you feel confident and good in something, I’d say you’re pulling it off just fine.
