For the longest time now I’ve been on the hunt for two things: the perfect thigh high boots and statement skort. Since that whole origami skirt hype (you know what I’m talking about.. one word: Zara) where you saw every blogger and human alive wearing it, I knew I needed a skort… just, well, not that one. I’m all for trends, but let’s be a little creative about it, people. Fashion should be anything but lazy. It’s a great thing to see something and it inspire you, but not such a great thing to see something so much, you feel under pressure to buy it or to settle. Needless to say, when I saw this half leather skort, I was sold. It was much more my style (because, hello… black, leather, and some stretch for my Kim K. backside.. need I say more?). Same situation again happened last fall on my hunt for the perfect thigh high boots. I have a few pairs that are lace up, but I wanted a more simple and classic pair. Of course, these boots remind me of my ultimate girl crush, Kate Moss. But because the mass amount of bloggers and hype over the same Stuart Wasmen pair I saw on everyone, I was determined to find another alternative from the mass. I’m so happy I waited and found exactly what I was looking for. Investment pieces like these shouldn’t be rushed.. it’s worth taking the time to find something that you really love!
